But my aunt did use the verb "pitkeh" to mean the same thing ("I spent the day just pitke'ing around" was a common enough phrase that, as a child trying to reconstruct a half-heard version of The Carpenters' "I'm at the Top of the World," I rendered "the love I've found ever since you've been around" as "the love I found just a-pitke'in' around").
